F1 World Grand Prix (Game Boy Color)
€6,00
It is a racing video game developed by Video System (and I.T.L.) and distributed by Nintendo, originally released in 2000. Unlike the acclaimed 3D polygonal version for Nintendo 64, this portable adaptation was completely redesigned in a 2D environment with a third-person perspective (from behind the car).
- Official FIA License: The game features the official license of the 1998 Formula 1 season. This includes the 11 authentic teams, their real drivers, and the official circuits from that year.
- Advanced Simulation for its Time: Despite the technical limitations of the Game Boy Color, it allowed for a high level of strategy. The player could mechanically adjust the car before each circuit: choose the type of tires (dry or wet), configure the transmission, gears, and modify the aerodynamics of the wings.
One of the greatest peculiarities of this title in its portable format is its release order. Curiously, the direct sequel (F-1 World Grand Prix II) arrived in stores in some regions, such as Japan, a little earlier than this first installment.
