Columns (Sega Game Gear)

Columns is a puzzle game with an ancient Greek theme where vertical blocks made of three different colored jewels fall.

• Basic mechanics: You cannot rotate the horizontal position of the column, but you can change the order of the three falling jewels.
• Objective: Align three or more matching gems horizontally, vertically, or diagonally to make them disappear.
• Game Gear specifics: Unlike the Mega Drive version, the portable edition allowed changing the graphic appearance of the pieces to dice or poker figures (spades, hearts, clubs), adapting better to the console's backlit screen. Its soundtrack includes mythical melodies based on the Greek Moirai (Clotho, Atropos and Lachesis).
